Yummy delicious... Nice digs.... Reasonably good quality.... We think the prices are reasonable. Push the button on the wall for service if you can't get the waitresses attention! (Chuckles) .... At lunch we like the value (15.95 in Sept 2019).
So why 4 stars? That's it... That's maybe high compared to other 4 star dining establishments. However as for KBBQ ... It averages just barely into 4 stars. -

A legit, delicious, top notch kbbq gem in SIMI VALLEY! Very rare to say and I am delightfully surprised. I usually go to Gen in Northridge because that would be the closest fix for me, but Top Chef is now my go to since it is only 5 minutes away from my family's & never the long wait.
There is a variety of meats and sides and they are all so flavorful. Very attentive service & I especially love that it's never crazy busy when I go compared to all kbbq spots in the valley or ktown.
Very pleased with establishment & recommend to any friends passing through Simi! -

We live near Reseda Blvd where there's a lot of famous Korean BBQ restaurants but we always choose to drive to Simi Valley to eat at Top Chef.
My son loves Beef Brisket and their quality here are the best! Their cut are not easily shredded to pieces when cooked. You can actually taste and feel the texture of the beef.
My favorite is the Jowl Meat! I only know 2 places in SFV and this in Simi Valley who offer Jowl Meat. Top Chef's Jowl Meat is good quality. They are not tiny as your pinky. They are good size and super tasty with soybean paste. Yum!
Their banchan are also good. Our favorite are the broccoli with sauce and fish cake. They also have dumplings and cheesy corn.
This is my family's favorite KBBQ! We eat here twice a month and we always walk out with happy tummy! Their service is excellent as always! Shoutout to Leslie, Ana, Melissa and Agnes (hope I got her name right ) Kamsahamnida Unnies! -

This restaurant is located in a tiny strip mall nestled in the corner but it's not a hidden gem. They use the cheapest cuts of meat possible for the entrées and that's why the prices are so low but regardless the meats are not really that edible.
I ordered the Bibimbap and it wasn't done correctly at all, the meat was very chewy and bland. The rice wasn't even crunchy on the bottom as it should have been. We also ordered the Ramen and not only was it spicy and not mentioned on the menu that it was spicy but the noodles were not even al dente they were hard.
This is one Korean barbecue restaurant that I would not recommend.

The food is great but the service is lousy and watch out for the increased prices. A party of four they charge a service fee of $ 25.
$22 a person for all you can eat cost me and my family of four over $160.00. Check your bill or you will be overcharged!!! There are many other Korean BBQ in town that are more cost effective.
